A lot of people always ask me what I like to do for fun or on my “down” time. The honest answer is I like to read. It’s my favorite. I like to read so much that one of my favorite hobbies is to find old books & bibles at antique stores or bookshops. I sometimes sit back and wonder how different my life would be if I had not read certain books. Below is a list of some books that have had the most profound impact on me personally in my journey. I hope they encourage you as much as they did me!

All of these books are wonderful, I’ve seen mostly all of them in Lifeway Christian Store all over the states. There is an author by the name of Andy Andrews. I recommend ANY of his books, especially the book called, ‘The Noticer’. If you get the chance, read that book, it doesn’t take long.
I highly recommend the book the resolution for men. Great book, also the movie courageous is fantastic.
‘The Applause of Heaven’ by Max Lucado. ‘Drawing Near’ A life of intimacy with God’ by John Bevere. ‘The Pursuit of God’ by A.W. Tozier. ‘Johnathan Edwards Lover of God (The Essential Edwards Collection) by Owen Strachan, Douglas Sweeney and Douglas Allen Sweeney. ‘Real Marriage’ by Mark Driscoll.
Plus most of the books you already mentioned.
The Case For Christ – Lee Strobel
Developing The Leader Within You – John Maxwell
The Power of Attitude – Mac Anderson
I’ve read a few of these. Thanks for doing this.
Anything by Joel Rosenberg I would recommend.
Their sort of the new version of the Left behind series.
I would highly recommend “I Don’t Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist” by Norman L. Geisler and Frank Turek, it’s the most comprehensive apologetics book I’ve ever seen; of course you can find other books that go into more detail on specific topics, but this goes through them all in one book. Another apologetics book I would highly recommend is “Tactics” by Gregory Koukl. While the previous book has a lot of information, this book is extremely practical. It’s all about how to engage people in spiritual conversations in real life and the different tactics to use in different situations with different types of people. Also, for the scientifically inclined mind I would highly recommend anything by Hugh Ross, a brilliant Christian scientist.
Any Max Lucado book!! I love him
Jerry Bridges’ books Pursuit of Holiness, Trusting God Even When Life Hurts and The Gospel For Real Life.
A Tale Of Three Kings by Gene Edwards is a must read.
